Most of these pieces were created for a solo show -Emote.  They are an exploration of the facial expressions and masks that are worn over true sentiments and behaviors.  They are also an exploration of the involuntary movements and emotional struggles associated with neurological disorders.  They seek to provoke thought and then understanding about the uncontrollable movements associated with neurological disorders and then, by extension, their emotional toll on the individual, as well as their families.  They also aim to push the viewer to examine an individual’s influence, through facial expression, on the mood and behavior of those around him or her.
